Tulip Treasure

There's no reason to tiptoe around the sheer delight of tulips! And if you're lucky enough to have a treasure-trove of tulips like this one at your fingertips…what are you waiting for? Tulips are flowers that stretch about 2 -3 inches a day. The temperature of the environment also is contributing factor on how long tulips last. How fast the stems stretch and "grow" only Mother Nature is in control of the rate. Each stem of tulips and variety "grows" at various rates. We are constantly receiving the freshest tulips possible from Holland. The best thing to do is cutting the stem and changing the water every day. If the water is not clean enough for you to drink the tulips (and all flowers) cannot "drink" the water. Their stems get clogged or blocked and they cannot absorb the water. As tulips open the blooms sometimes are very heavy for the elongated stems and gives the arrangement a drooping look. That is the normal nature of cut tulips to stretch and grow at varying rates and "dance" around the arrangement. Many times our designers cut the stems shorter since we know tulips are constantly "growing" or stretching. Always call us as soon as you have a problem and we will be more than happy to take care of any issues.
